Friday night, at January 8 at about 22.50, the Nishansu server went down because of a short electricity failure. This breakdown was caused by a failing heating/cooling system, which required a power cutoff to reboot and was apparently connected to the same safety fuse.
During the blackout, there was no electricity available for the switches and routers in the network, nor for the server hosting Nishansu.
The power was restored quickly after, but one of the virtual servers failed to reboot properly. Because of this, the Nishansu server wasn't available until January 9 evening. The server is running smoothly since and it's therefore expected the power failure didn't cause any damage to either hardware or software.
We're sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused and are investigating how to prevent improper reboots in the future.
